For over seventy years Pomeroy has been solving its clients' real estate problems. If client responses to our associates and current principals are any indication, then we'll continue for another seventy and more.

Formed in 1930 by Donald T. Pomeroy Sr., the Pomeroy Organization, Inc. began as a general real estate brokerage firm. Appraising and mortgage banking became primary functions in 1957. In 1964 appraising and counseling became the exclusive functions of Pomeroy Appraisal Associates, Inc.

Pomeroy services relate to agricultural, residential and recreational properties, single-standing commercial buildings, regional malls, industrial plants, and special properties (such as schools, gravel pits, churches, theaters, hydro electric facilities, tank farms, and paper mills).

Past assignments have ranged from a single residence, to a 10,000,000 sq. ft. auto assembly facility, to the Carrier Dome and to a 2,500-parcel project. Professional designations held by officers include CRE - Counselors of Real Estate; MAI, SRA - Appraisal Institute; ARA - American Society of Farm Managers, and Rural Appraisers. In addition, membership is held in the International Right of Way Association, International Association of Assessing Officers, NYS Assessors Association, NYS Society of Real Estate Appraisers, and NYS Commercial Association of Realtors.
